New Priest for St. Anselm’s

New Priest for St. Anselm’s

Fr. Matthew Cashmore

We are delighted to announce the appointment of our next Parish Priest. Fr. Matthew Cashmore S.S.C. He will be licensed Priest In Charge on Wednesday July 22nd at 19:00. Everybody is cordially invited to this joyous occasion.

Fr. Matthew has written about this news on his blog which you can read here.

As Area Dean of Hillingdon I am delighted at the news that Bishop Jonathan has appointed Father Matthew Cashmore as Priest in Charge of St. Anselm’s. We very much look forward to welcoming Father Matthew and his family to Hillingdon Deanery and to working closely with him as a colleague and friend in the coming years.

Over the last months the Deanery, along with the rest of the Willesden Area, has been working on a Deanery Plan for how we might work together to bring renewal to the life of the church across Hillingdon. We regard St. Anselm’s as our number one priority. We are therefore working on plans to reallocate money and other resources from within the Deanery so that we can provide Father Matthew, and you as the congregation, with the means to build the team that you need in order to bring lasting renewal to the mission of St. Anselm’s among the people of Hayes Town. A group of us from the deanery have already met with Father Matthew, and he and I plan to visit you on a forthcoming Sunday in the next few weeks to say more about these exciting plans.

In the meantime I will be praying for you, Father Matthew and his family.

God Bless.

The Rev’d Richard Young
Area Dean of Hillingdon
